Catch What Others Miss.
Dense web-pattern riffle geometry designed to create more capture opportunities across the mat surface.
The Golden Spider Sluice Mat uses an interlocking web-pattern structure that creates a network of small pockets, edges, and capture zones across the working surface.
The goal is simple: give fine and flour gold repeated opportunities to settle and hold as material moves across the mat.
Each set includes three mat sections, designed to work with HMO recovery equipment.
Why the Golden Spider Is Different
- Interlocking web-pattern geometry — creates a dense network of small capture areas across the mat
- Designed with fine gold in mind — repeated edges and pockets provide multiple opportunities for settling
- 3-piece set — designed for use in HMO sluices and highbankers
- PETG or TPU construction — choose rigid durability or flexible, form-fitting material
- Available in Red, Blue, and Green
- USA made
- Hand-inspected by HMO before shipment
Choose Your Material
PETG
Rigid and durable.
PETG is a good choice when you want a mat that holds its shape and provides a firm, consistent riffle structure.
TPU
Flexible and conforming.
TPU can follow slight variations in the sluice surface and is easier to flex during handling and cleanup.
Both versions use the same Golden Spider web-pattern geometry. Choose the material based on how you want the mat to behave in your equipment.
Designed for HMO Gear — We Can Fit Yours Too
Golden Spider mats are designed to fit HMO sluices and highbankers by design.
That is the standard configuration.
But if you're running another brand, a custom-built sluice, or equipment of your own design, we can manufacture a Golden Spider mat to fit your setup as well.
Contact us before ordering with:
- Inside sluice width
- Required mat length
- Available mat depth
- Equipment make and model, if known
- Any unusual mounting or fit requirements
Custom sizing is a premium service and priced accordingly.
Built for Real Recovery Conditions
No mat works by itself.
Gold recovery is influenced by water velocity, sluice angle, classification, feed rate, gold size, material composition, and the rest of the recovery system.
Golden Spider gives you a different capture geometry to work with — particularly when fine material and fine gold are part of the hunt.
Set your equipment correctly, feed it properly, and let the mat become part of the recovery system rather than expecting one component to do everything.
USA Made. Maker Direct.
We don't buy Golden Spider mats from a catalog and put our name on them.
We design them. We manufacture them. We inspect them.
And because they're designed alongside HMO sluices and highbankers, the mat and the equipment can be developed as parts of the same recovery system instead of unrelated components forced together afterward.
Customer feedback comes directly back into that process.
That's what maker-direct means at HMO.
Built Different. By Design.
The Golden Spider exists because recovery surfaces don't all have to rely on the same traditional riffle geometry.
Instead of concentrating capture into a few large structures, the Spider distributes smaller capture opportunities throughout the mat surface.
Different geometry. Different approach.
Run it. Tune it. Learn what your ground tells you.
