Golden Honey Sluice Mat
A honeycomb-inspired recovery surface available in rigid PETG or flexible TPU.
Golden Honey uses repeating honeycomb cells to create many edges, pockets, and flow interruptions across the working surface. It is intended for prospectors who want to experiment with a highly textured recovery geometry for fine and intermediate material.
Key Features
- Honeycomb geometry — repeating cells create distributed interaction and settling areas across the mat.
- Two material options — PETG for a rigid mat or TPU for flexible, form-fitting use.
- Drop-in format — manufactured to fit compatible HMO sluices and highbankers.
- Custom sizing available — contact HMO with dimensions before ordering for non-HMO equipment; custom work is priced separately.
- Manufactured in Oregon — HMO Original, hand-inspected before shipment.
What the Geometry Is Designed to Do
The honeycomb structure is designed to repeatedly interrupt water and material movement and provide many small retention areas. Actual recovery depends on water velocity, sluice angle, feed rate, classification, material composition, gold size and shape, and operator setup.
HMO does not claim a universal recovery percentage or that Golden Honey will outperform every other mat under all conditions.
Material Notes
PETG and TPU behave differently. Choose the rigid PETG version when a firm recovery surface is preferred, or TPU when flexibility and conformity are more important. Product-specific numerical temperature ratings have not been assigned unless separately stated and supported by validation.
